Fort Wayne VA Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal Services

The VA Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS) requires comprehensive grounds maintenance services at its Fort Wayne VA Medical Center, located at 2121 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. This includes full-service snow and ice removal, as well as lawn care. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, vehicles, transportation, and chemicals. Lawn care services encompass maintaining healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants, ensuring a clean and professional appearance. This service is estimated to run from April 1 through October 31 annually, with the contractor expected to be available outside these dates if the growing season extends. Services include mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, weeding, overseeding, fertilizing, and pest control. Snow and ice removal services are critical for maintaining a safe environment and will be performed from approximately November 1 through March 31. This includes clearing all designated sites, parking lots, drives, walkways, sidewalks, crosswalks, and ramps, as well as deicing. The contractor must be prepared to perform these services before November 1 and after March 31 if conditions warrant. Safety devices must be used on all equipment.
