The State of Indiana, through its Department of Administration and Correctional Industries, is soliciting bids for alodized aluminum sheets. The required material is aluminum, non-heat-treated, specifically alloy 5052-H38. The engineering specifications detail precise requirements for thickness, tolerances, flatness, tensile strength, elongation, and finish (Alodine treatment). The alodized finish must be light, tight, and iridescent, free of powdery residue, and impart increased corrosion resistance, meeting at least 168 hours of salt spray exposure per MIL-C-5541.
