Description

Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking applications from industry partners to conduct advanced reactor experiments in the Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments (DOME) test bed facility at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). This opportunity aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of advanced reactors by providing access to a nuclear reactor test bed. Applicants will be required to submit detailed information covering reactor technology maturity, fuel management, testing plans, project schedules, DOME integration needs, DOE authorization plans, funding, and experience. The DOME facility is projected to be available for industry testing starting in July 2027, following the completion of its initial reactor experiment. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. MDT on July 8, 2026, and must be submitted electronically.
