Community Solar Energy Program

The City of Camden is seeking proposals from solar development firms to serve as the solar provider for a Community Solar Energy Program (CSEP). This program will serve Camden residents, who will be automatically enrolled and receive credits on their electricity costs. The CSEP is administered by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and allows local governments to manage municipal community solar automatic enrollment projects. Subscribers will have the opportunity to opt-out before automatic enrollment. The goal is to subscribe residents to a CSEP-eligible solar project to generate community solar credits, providing discounts on their electricity costs.
