]http://www.nwherald.comThe Hampshire Township Park District, Kane County, Illinois, intends to issue alternate bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2,500,000. These bonds will be used to refund certain outstanding alternate bonds and debt certificates of the District and to pay the expenses associated with this issuance. The revenue sources pledged for the payment of the bonds will include property taxes and other revenues deposited into the District's Recreation Fund, as well as proceeds from the issuance of its general obligation bonds or notes. Additionally, ad valorem property taxes will be levied upon all taxable property in the District without limitation as to rate or amount to cover any insufficiency in the pledged revenue sources. A petition signed by 579 or more voters of the District may be submitted to the Secretary of the Board within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of the notice and the Ordinance, requesting that the question of the issuance of the Bonds be submitted to referendum. If such a petition is filed, an election will be held on November 3, 2026. If no petition is filed within the 30-day period, the Bonds will be authorized for issuance.
