Description

Jefferson County, Alabama, through its Environmental Services Department, is soliciting sealed bid proposals for the Sanitary Sewer System Asset Management Program Contract No. 2023 PS02, specifically for the Chapel 1 and 2, Garywood, and Mason City PS Improvements. The project involves the demolition of existing pump stations and the construction of four new pump stations. This includes new wet well installations, electrical equipment upgrades, installation of standby pumps, new valve vaults, ARVs, and other miscellaneous appurtenances, along with 467 feet of gravity sewer and 715 feet of force mains. Prospective bidders must be pre-qualified with the Jefferson County Environmental Services Department for Class D1 Small, Pre-Cast Pumping Stations & Related Facilities Sewer Projects. Pre-qualification applications must be submitted by May 15, 2026. The contract duration is 660 consecutive calendar days, consisting of a 180-day administrative period followed by a 480-day construction period. Bids will only be accepted from pre-qualified contractors listed on the Plan Holders List who attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. All bidders must possess an Alabama contractor's license.
