AH-64 Apache Power Transfer Clutch (APU) Maintenance and Overhaul

This Sources Sought Notice is issued by the U.S. Army to identify businesses capable of inspecting and overhauling Power Transfer Clutches (APU) for the AH-64 Apache helicopter. The National Stock Number (NSN) for this part is 3010-01-515-8483, and the Part Number is 3617950-1. The estimated quantity required ranges from a minimum of 20 units to a maximum of 456 units, which includes 76 units for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary services, facilities, labor, parts, materials, equipment, tools, and data to complete the inspection and overhaul. The anticipated delivery schedule is 180 days from receipt of the asset. The delivery location is to be determined (TBD). This acquisition is expected to be procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Commercial Products and Commercial Services) and FAR Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) procedures. The anticipated contract type is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a 60-month period of performance, divided into five priced ordering periods. The Government does not own the Technical Data Package (TDP) for this item, and reverse engineering is not feasible. The rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional source(s) are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. Currently, only Honeywell International and The Boeing Company are known approved sources for this critical safety item.
