Labor Counsel Services for the City of Clifton

The City of Clifton is soliciting proposals for Labor Counsel Services to provide legal representation and advice on labor and personnel matters. The selected firm will represent the City in various capacities, including collective bargaining, arbitration, mediation, drafting collective bargaining agreements, and defending the City in labor-related litigation before courts and administrative agencies. The services also encompass consulting with City officials, training City employees on relevant topics, and conducting investigations. Respondents must demonstrate at least five consecutive years of experience representing management in labor and employment law, with experience representing at least three public entities, including one of similar size to Clifton. The firm must maintain an office within a reasonable distance of Clifton and possess a strong knowledge of applicable New Jersey and federal labor laws. The contract period is from June 6, 2026, to June 5, 2027.
