Frozen, Grocery, and Snack Products for RESC Alliance Food Trust
Capitol Region Education Council Food Services
The Regional Education Service Center (RESC) Alliance Food Trust (RAFT), a public purchasing consortium, is seeking proposals for frozen, grocery, and snack products. The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is acting as the administrative agent for RAFT, which comprises 35 member school districts in north central Connecticut. The successful proposer will contract directly with and invoice each individual member school district separately. The products provided must meet nutritional requirements under various USDA meal patterns and comply with the Buy American provision, prioritizing domestic commodities and food products. Vendors must maintain a written HACCP-based food safety program, and delivery trucks must be refrigerated and maintained in sanitary conditions. All products must meet applicable health, quality, and safety standards. RAFT members are exempt from federal, state, or local taxes.
