Salt Lake City VA Medical Center Patient Ward Refrigerator-Freezers

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for commercial-grade, dual-compartment refrigerator/freezer units for the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center's Nursing Service. The requirement is for nine units, with specific door hinging (six right-hinged and three left-hinged) to accommodate various patient care wards. These units are intended to replace existing residential-grade units that do not consistently maintain optimal temperatures, ensuring the quality and safety of food items stored for veterans. The units must be stainless steel inside and out, feature adjustable epoxy-coated shelves, digital temperature displays and controls, and have separate refrigeration systems for the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Specific dimensions, electrical capacity, LED interior lighting, and environmentally friendly refrigerant are also required. A minimum 5-year warranty on parts, labor, and the condenser is mandated.
