Description

The Space Systems Command (SSC) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to evaluate emerging launch systems capable of providing orbit raising solutions to Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO). The primary interest is in vertical lift options that can transport payloads from Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) to GEO, minimizing transfer time for critical space systems. The SSC is looking for solutions that can accommodate payloads ranging from 2946 kg to 6000 kg and can be integrated with ESPA compliant host rings and existing launch vehicles. Responses should detail technical capabilities including mass/C.G. curves, accommodation needs, total system weight, power requirements, environmental compliance, and interfaces. Programmatic information such as anticipated cost, schedule, manpower requirements, Technology Readiness Level (TRL), and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) is also requested. Business and contracting information, including Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing, available contract vehicles, estimated production lead times, and intellectual property considerations, should also be provided.
