City of Kinston: 2026 Concrete Replacement

The City of Kinston is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of concrete curb & gutter and sidewalk at various locations throughout the city. The scope of work includes all activities associated with concrete removal, installation, subgrade preparation, hauling and disposal of debris, traffic control, and restoration of disturbed areas. All work will be performed within public rights-of-way unless otherwise noted. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials. Insurance requirements include Workers Compensation with Statutory Limits and Employers Liability Limits of not less than $500,000.00, and General Liability and Vehicle/Equipment Liability with limits not less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence. A site visit is required prior to bid submission, and contractors are responsible for determining quantities independently, as the City will not provide them. Bids must be lump sum and include all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and traffic control. The City reserves the right to add or remove locations before award and to add locations after award by mutual agreement. Work is to be completed within 90 days of purchase order issuance. The City also requires minority business participation, with a goal of 10%. Bidders must submit required documentation, including W-9 tax forms and minority business affidavits, with their bids.
