FY27 KC Independence Salt Dome Roof Replacement Project

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is soliciting bids for the FY27 KC Independence Salt Dome Roof Replacement Project. The project involves the removal of the existing polyurethane foam roofing, three-tab shingles, felt underlayment, roof vents, and flashing. The contractor will be responsible for providing and installing new composite (architectural) shingles with a 30-year or greater manufacturer's warranty, synthetic underlayment, galvanized flashing, and 750 metal roof vents to ensure a complete and watertight roof system. The scope also includes the removal and replacement of up to ten sheets of sheathing (7/16" CDX), with a per-sheet replacement price required for any additional sheathing needed. The project is for a salt dome structure with approximate dimensions of 60' diameter and 30' height, divided into 20 sections. The contract requires a minimum of 10% self-performance by the general contractor and the submission of a subcontractor list for portions exceeding 1%. OSHA 10 certification for all employees is mandatory.
