Subway Car Design, Furnishing, and Delivery

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), on behalf of New York City Transit (NYCT), is soliciting proposals for the design, furnishing, and delivery of 1,140 subway cars, with an option for up to an additional 1,250 cars. These cars will be for the New York City Transit System "A" Division and will include both Closed End Cars (R262) and Open Gangway Cars (R262OG). The scope of work includes all necessary design, engineering, testing, manufacturing, delivery, warranty, training, spare parts, tools, and diagnostic test equipment. The contract may include Federal requirements.
