2026-08STI Asphalt Maintenance Project

The City of Brookings, South Dakota is soliciting bids for the 2026-08STI Asphalt Maintenance Project. The project involves significant street maintenance and overlay work, including approximately 11,500 square yards of cold milling asphalt pavement and 7,700 tons of asphalt concrete. Additional work includes the installation of approximately 7,300 tons of gravel base course, 70,000 square feet of cement-stabilized subgrade, 11,000 square feet of PLC sidewalk, 2,500 linear feet of curb and gutter, 1,100 linear feet of 8-12" PVC water main, 350 linear feet of 8" PVC sewer main, and 150 linear feet of 4-6" sanitary service lines. The project also encompasses manholes, landscaping, seeding, and other miscellaneous items. Specifications and bidding documents can be obtained from the City Engineering Department or online at www.cityofbrookings-sd.gov. Bidders are required to submit bids in a sealed envelope by 1:30 P.M. CST on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. A bid bond of 10% or a certified check of 5% of the bid amount is required. The successful bidder will also need to provide a Performance and Payment Bond.
