Lake George Conservation Area Timber Sale

This solicitation is for a timber sale on approximately 170 acres within the Lake George Conservation Area in Putnam County, Florida. The sale includes a clearcut of 22 acres of mature slash pine and natural sand pine stands, and a second thinning across 148 acres. The thinning involves both marked and logger-select thinning to achieve a residual stand density of 50 square feet of basal area per acre. Estimated timber volumes include approximately 2,484 tons of pine pulpwood, 1,347 tons of chip-n-saw, and 72 tons of sawtimber, though these are estimates and not guaranteed.
