San Diego At-Grade Crossing Elimination Study (SD ACES)

This opportunity provides funding for early action safety work related to the San Diego At-grade Crossing Elimination Study (SD ACES). The project will analyze potential grade separations and alternative alignments at eleven at-grade rail crossings in a major transportation corridor near downtown San Diego. The existing crossings are identified as insufficient for the urban environment, contributing to fatalities and injuries. The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is seeking a contractor to perform a planning study to identify these early action safety improvements. This is a grant opportunity under the Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program, with an estimated total program funding of $500,000.
