Tourist Lodging Development at Hueneme Beach Park

The City of Port Hueneme is seeking proposals for the development, financing, construction, operation, and management of a tourist lodging project on Lot C at Hueneme Beach Park. This approximately 34,000 square foot site is envisioned to accommodate unique overnight accommodations such as tiny homes, Airstream trailers, or other glamping-style units, aimed at increasing tourism and enhancing the economic vitality of the waterfront. The selected partner will be responsible for delivering a financially sustainable, environmentally responsible, and community-oriented project that provides high-quality lodging experiences, integrates with existing beach amenities, enhances the City's role as a regional visitor destination, and demonstrates innovative design and operational practices. The project concept may include tiny homes, cabins, yurts, Airstream-style trailers, or storage container units. The City seeks a long-term partnership through a ground lease or operating agreement, with an initial contract term anticipated to be ten (10) to twenty (20) years.
