This Sources Sought notice is issued by the United States Air Force to gather market research on potential sources capable of providing a postal metering machine for Shaw Air Force Base. The anticipated requirement includes the lease, installation, and maintenance of a high-end mailing system capable of processing up to 300 letters per minute, with a feeder accommodating mail up to 1-inch thick. The system must include a Weigh In Motion scale, remote label and report printers, a conveyor stacker, and a PC with cloud-based software. The software component should support up to six concurrent users for accounting, shipping, mailing, reporting, and tracking, with features such as automatic carrier rate import, best-way shipping analysis, data export, and email alerts with delivery verification. Cybersecurity compliance, including potential FedRAMP authorization for cloud-based solutions, is also a consideration. The contractor will be responsible for installation, configuration, training, ongoing meter rental, annual software updates, and annual on-site service and maintenance with a same-day SLA for inoperable equipment. The anticipated Period of Performance is a 12-month base year with four 12-month option years. The government will separately fund postage costs.
