Description

The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) Seafood Marketing Program seeks to increase awareness and demand for local seafood for the benefit of consumers and Massachusetts historic commercial fishing industries and communities. To help accomplish these goals, DMF is seeking to fund projects and opportunities that support education on topics surrounding Massachusetts seafood or that support the industry in other ways. Examples of successful projects include programs focusing on environmental sustainability, health benefits, seafood economy, and commercial fishing topics as they relate to Massachusetts seafood. Organizations or individuals with experience and ongoing work in the local food systems, the seafood industry, the commercial fishing industry, the culinary field, or marine education are eligible to apply for grants up to $50,000 per project.
