1550 nm Pulsed Fiber-Coupled Laser System

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a 1550 nm pulsed fiber-coupled laser system suitable for laboratory use. The system must operate at a nominal wavelength of 1550 nm, with a pulse duration between 500 fs and 50 ps. It needs to support a user-selectable repetition rate from 1 Hz up to 80 MHz, provide at least 1 mW of average fiber-coupled output power, and feature single-mode fiber with an FC/APC connector. Control interfaces must include USB and/or GPIB, and Ethernet should not be the sole control option. The system must also include an external trigger input and an output electrical trigger synchronized with the optical pulses. Vendors are required to identify all necessary accessories, software, and hardware to meet these specifications and provide documentation to verify compliance. The system should be delivered ready for operation.
