This project involves furnishing and installing new ductile iron water mains and services across multiple streets within Denville, Mountain Lakes, and Rockaway. The contract requires completion within 270 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit bids on provided forms, accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000). A Certificate of Surety from a New Jersey-licensed surety company is also required. Bids will not be accepted by mail. The Township reserves the right to award the contract or reject all bids within 60 days of opening. Compliance with all relevant Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations is mandatory, including but not limited to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, New Jersey's Law Against Discrimination, and the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bidders must also comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and provide proof of registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. A utilization goal of not less than 10 percent is established for contracts awarded to small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, as per N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et seq.
