The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires third-party entities to provide tobacco retailer inspection services to support its compliance program. These services are crucial for enforcing federal laws and regulations related to tobacco products, as mandated by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a five-year ordering period, and task orders are expected to have 12-month periods of performance. The anticipated maximum IDIQ value is $33,500,000.00. Services include conducting undercover buy inspections, advertising and labeling inspections, managing commissioned inspectors and underage purchasers, handling evidence, and providing program management and reporting.
