Description

This opportunity involves licensing a developed technology for anode-free rechargeable lithium batteries that utilize a molybdenum-based current collector at the anode side. This innovation aims to improve cycling performance and energy density by promoting uniform lithium nucleation and suppressing dendrite growth, offering a significant advancement over traditional copper collectors. The process is scalable using commercially available sputtering technology and is currently at Technology Readiness Level 2. The intellectual property associated with this technology is covered by Patent Application No. 17/819,993. Idaho National Laboratory, managed by Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, is seeking industry collaborators to license this pioneering technology for commercialization, particularly supporting small businesses. This is a licensing opportunity, not a procurement for goods or services.
