Agricultural and Horticultural Supplies, Equipment, and Furnishings

The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is seeking to pre-qualify suppliers for agricultural and horticultural supplies, equipment, and furnishings. The initial term for this contract is set to expire on June 30, 2023, with the possibility of four additional one-year renewals, extending the contract through June 30, 2027. Multiple suppliers will be pre-qualified, and submissions are welcome at any time throughout the contract duration. The objective is to establish a list of suppliers for low-dollar value and repetitive purchases of items such as carts, display items, watering solutions, seeds, plants, seed starting accessories, growing mediums, garden and yard care products, mulching and composting bins, landscape design software, and beneficial insects. While this list is not exhaustive, DSBN reserves the discretion to obtain quotes from multiple pre-qualified suppliers or to proceed with a supplier of their choice. Orders may be picked up at a supplier's storefront near the Niagara Region or delivered via purchase order. Individual schools will make purchasing decisions based on "best fit," and there is no guarantee of any purchases. The DSBN serves 12 municipalities in the Niagara Region, encompassing 79 elementary and 20 secondary schools, along with administrative centers.
