Janitorial Services Contract for Weber State University

Weber State University (WSU) is soliciting proposals for a Janitorial Services Contract to provide comprehensive janitorial and custodial services for a select group of buildings on its Ogden Campus. This initiative is intended as a test project to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of contracting out janitorial services. If the test proves successful, WSU may expand the service to other campus and non-campus buildings. The scope of work includes cleaning various areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways, conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, open office spaces, closed offices, break rooms, kitchens, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, shop spaces, lab spaces, theater spaces, dance spaces, cafes, and dining areas. Specific tasks include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, waste removal, and maintaining cleanliness to ANSI/IICRC S400 standards. The vendor will be responsible for providing cleaning equipment and PPE, while WSU will provide paper products, soap products, and certain cleaning and miscellaneous products. Key dates for this RFP include the issuance date of April 14, 2026, a questions due date of April 22, 2026, and a proposal submission due date of May 5, 2026. The contract period will not exceed five years, with a one-year base term and four annual renewal options at the University's discretion. The anticipated effective date is July 1, 2026.
