Playground Design and Manufacturer for Sykes Drive Park
City of Fort Collins
The City of Fort Collins is requesting proposals from qualified Service Providers for the design, manufacture, and installation of playground equipment, safety surfacing, site furnishings, and picnic shelters for the Sykes Drive Park Project. The project aims to create a nature-inspired playground with distinct play experiences representing the life cycle of a butterfly, including climbing, hanging, and flying elements. Proposals should align with ADA standards, CPSC regulations, and ASTM standards, and the Service Provider must be IPEMA certified. The scope includes design development, manufacturing, storage, delivery, and installation of play equipment and surfacing, as well as manufacturing, storage, and delivery of site furnishings and picnic shelters. The City's General Contractor will handle site preparation and installation of some elements. The project has a total budget ranging from $515,000 to $730,000, with specific allocations for playground equipment, surfacing, site furnishings, and picnic shelters. Service Providers are encouraged to submit concept proposals that incorporate the specified elements and adhere to the budget, with options for alternate features like shade sails. The final design must be stamped by a Colorado-licensed engineer if custom structures are involved. The City requires proposals to be submitted online through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS).
