The Texas General Land Office (GLO) and the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) are issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Kwalu furnishings, including delivery, installation, disposal, and project oversight services. These services are for the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home located in Temple, Texas. Bidders must have a minimum of three years in business providing similar services, or principals with five years of relevant executive management experience. The bid must include all labor, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, and associated costs for delivery and installation. The awarded vendor will be responsible for "white glove" installation, which includes unpacking, assembling, placing furniture, and removing all packing materials. Existing resident room furniture, such as bedside tables, wardrobes, and dressers, must be removed and disposed of by the awarded bidder. Common Area Furniture removal and disposal will be coordinated with the GLO Project Manager. The delivery location is the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home at 1424 Martin Luther King Jr. Lane, Temple, Texas 76504. All work must be completed during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The facility has no loading dock, so liftgates or ramps are required for offloading.
