Airport Engineering and Planning Services

The City of Fairmont is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified airport consultants for engineering and planning services at Fairmont Municipal Airport. Anticipated projects for the period of 2026-2030 include land acquisition, obstruction removal, apron rehabilitation, clear zone acquisition planning, fuel system replacement, hangar taxi lane construction, and pavement maintenance. Services required encompass planning, preliminary and final design, bidding, construction, and closeout phase services, including environmental studies, for projects funded under the FAA Airport Improvement Program. Submittals, limited to 35 pages, must include firm information, airport experience, project team qualifications (specifically FAA experience), recent project references, and evidence of an Affirmative Action Program. The selection process will be based on qualifications, in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E. Fee information should not be submitted with the SOQ; fees will be negotiated after selection. The City of Fairmont intends to retain the selected firm for up to five years.
