]72--yell - furniture for seasonal housing
Yellowstone National Park requires a contractor to supply and deliver seasonal household furniture for their employee housing units. This initiative aims to replace dilapidated furniture, improving the living environment for seasonal staff. The furniture must be robust, appealing, and comfortable, with options for variety in color and finishes while maintaining compatibility between units. The scope includes furnishings for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, with all items subject to inspection and final acceptance by the COR. All wood products must be FSC certified, and exposed wood should be solid wood core. Furniture legs and bases must have felt flooring protection, and wood finishes should have a lacquer/polyurethane finish. The contractor is encouraged to use sustainable and recovered materials, minimizing toxic chemicals. Furniture must be contemporary in style, with hard edges, gentle curves, natural materials, and minimal ornamentation. Specific requirements are detailed for sofas, loveseats, armchairs, nightstands, dressers, mattresses, headboards, bed frames, lamps, dining sets, and end tables. All upholstered furniture comes with a limited warranty ranging from one to a lifetime, depending on the component.
