Water Plant and Distribution Improvements Environmental Assessment

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS), Water and Environmental Programs, is issuing an environmental assessment (EA) in connection with possible impacts related to a project proposed by Cleveland County Water (CCW) in Cleveland County, North Carolina. The Applicant proposes the construction of a new water treatment plant (WTP) and raw water intake on the Broad River. Additionally, the project includes a new 0.75-million gallon (MG) Boiling Springs Elevated Storage Tank, 15,400 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch water line from the WTP to the new storage tank, and 63,000 LF of 16-inch water line from the WTP to the existing Patterson Springs Tank.
