Dual Band Decoy (DBD) Full Rate Production

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to negotiate and award a contract for the production of approximately 120 Dual Band Decoys (DBD) per year, along with associated support equipment repairs. This contract is intended to support the F/A-18E/F platforms and is planned to cover Fiscal Years 2027 through 2029, with a base year and up to two option years. This procurement is being conducted under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, citing that BAE Systems is the only responsible source with the necessary manufacturing technology, infrastructure, capacity, and platform qualifications to meet the agency's requirements. No other source is believed to possess the technical qualifications or resources to fulfill these needs. This notice is not a request for proposal, and no contract will be awarded based on responses received. The information gathered will be used solely to determine future competitive opportunities.
