Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to upgrade and retrofit Basler ECS-2100 excitation control systems and replace Prime Power/Siemens EX-1 excitation systems at four hydropower sites located within the Savannah, Mobile, and Charleston Districts. This comprehensive project encompasses engineering, design, manufacturing, factory testing, delivery, demolition, installation, integration, commissioning, training, and documentation. The primary objectives are to replace obsolete digital control hardware, enhance reliability, improve maintainability, and boost diagnostic capabilities, ultimately standardizing excitation technology across multiple powerhouses.
