The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) on behalf of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking professional engineering services to perform a Phase 100 study at the Lapeer State Game Area. The scope of work includes determining the hydrology, flows, and evaluating/modeling a series of wetland complexes, dams, and earthen embankments. The study will inform future management decisions and aims to address the aging condition of three identified dams (1423, 697, 804), which are beyond their designated lifespan. The selected firm will provide options for dam removal or replacement, including cost estimates, to potentially remove the Part 315 EGLE designation. The selected firm will be responsible for all required professional architectural and engineering services in compliance with DTMB's Project Statement, Billable Rate Professional Services Contract, and other relevant policies. Key deliverables include in-person review meetings (predesign, 50% review, 90% review), bi-weekly progress summary emails, identification of all necessary testing with itemized costs, and a detailed project schedule. Reimbursable expenses may include topographic surveys, soil borings, and geotechnical reviews.
