Group 5A Lead Service Line Replacement Project

This project involves the replacement of lead, lead-lined, and galvanized water services with new polyethylene or copper water service lines. The scope includes excavation, installation of new water service lines from the water main to the curb stop, and connection to the customer's inside service line. The work also encompasses surface restoration of disturbed areas and requires adherence to strict environmental, safety, and apprenticeship regulations. The project includes a Base Bid covering various streets and two Add Alternates for specific street sections. Bidders are required to submit detailed proposals, including apprenticeship agreements, DBE utilization plans, and workforce goal certifications. The contract is a unit price contract, and the award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on a priority system of the Base Bid and Add Alternates.
