]buffalo gap campground water line repairs
This project involves the repair of water lines at the Buffalo Gap Campground, located approximately 7 miles west of Medora, North Dakota. The work includes the removal and replacement of three 1-inch curb stop valves on the main water line. Two new valves will be installed to isolate flow to the flush toilets and shower house, respectively, while the third will isolate the hydrant at the end of the parking loop. The scope of work also includes removing historical waterline vent features and installing adjustable standpipes with pentagon bolt caps. Excavation will be performed to expose the main line and components, with adherence to OSHA excavation standards and proper water management. The line will be pressure tested for leaks before backfilling, which will involve specific bedding and compaction procedures. Materials specified include curb stops conforming to AWWA C800 standards and cast iron extension type curb boxes. Existing vent standpipes, curb stops, and associated mainline PE pipe designated for removal will be disposed of in accordance with regulations. The magnitude of this project is under $25,000, and it is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price contract.
