This solicitation is for the provision of fresh bread, rolls, and related products to Danville State Hospital for the months of July, August, and September 2026. The products must meet specific characteristics, including firm and tender crusts, fine and even grain, and pleasing flavor and aroma. Bread must not be more than 48 hours old upon arrival, with whole wheat and rye having a 72-hour limit. Rolls and English muffins should weigh less than half a pound. All products must be properly packaged and delivered in clean, sound cartons or trays, maintaining freshness for a minimum of 5 days from the delivery date. Wrappers must identify the product type, ingredients, net weight, and bakery name. The bakery must be registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and meet its standards. Quantities are estimates and may be adjusted. Deliveries must be coordinated with the Director of Dietary Services, and any schedule changes require prior approval. The Commonwealth will pay only for actual net weight or count accepted at the time of delivery.
