The Village of Homer Glen, Will County, Illinois is soliciting sealed proposals for the construction of the Fiddymen Creek Sanitary Sewer project, specifically along Cedar Road and 159th Street. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2026, and will be publicly read at Village Hall at 2:01 PM. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Village of Homer Glen, attention Engineering Department, clearly marked with the bidder's name and address, project name, and "SEALED BID". Requests for bid documents will be accepted until 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2026. All questions regarding the project must be submitted via email to bwestcott@homerglenil.org by 4:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, with answers posted to the Village website by Monday, June 1, 2026. Bidders must submit a bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount and a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage rates as established by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Davis Bacon Act. Prequalification is mandatory, requiring bidders to demonstrate experience with at least three (3) municipal sewer projects in Illinois within the last five (5) years. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
