Description

The County of Greenville is soliciting proposals from qualified and licensed vendors to provide comprehensive third-party administration for its self-funded worker's compensation claims. The selected vendor will be responsible for managing all aspects of worker's compensation claims, including advising the County on obligations under the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Act, supervising claims, determining benefits, processing payments, and investigating claims. The scope of work also includes comprehensive safety management, such as providing accident prevention plans, making recommendations for safety programs, and preparing quarterly accident prevention reports. The vendor will also be responsible for furnishing monthly records of all claims and estimates of reserves. The contract period is expected to begin with the Notice to Proceed and will have a base term with potential for annual renewals, not to exceed a maximum of four additional one-year terms. Pricing will be on a quarterly retainer basis, with a fee-for-service structure. Vendors must have a minimum of ten years of experience in Workers' Compensation Third Party Administration for groups of 1,000 or more employees.
