Insulation Installation and Repair Services

Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is soliciting proposals for insulation installation and repair services at its various facilities. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing these services as needed throughout the district. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension, running from July 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027. The estimated labor hours for this discipline are 700 hours, though this does not guarantee work, and multiple contracts may be issued. Key requirements include appropriate licenses and certifications, adequate and qualified staff to meet response times, and the ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously. The scope of work encompasses insulating refrigeration lines, hot and chilled water lines, and various types of ductwork. Vendors must not be listed on the North Carolina or Federal debarred vendor registries. Pricing proposals will include labor rates for installation and repair technicians and helpers, along with material overhead and profit, and subcontractor rates.
