Specialty Teacher and Support Services

The Colonial and Red Clay Consolidated School Districts are seeking proposals for various specialty education services. This includes Teachers of the Deaf (TODs), Educational Audiologists, ASL Interpreters, Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDIs), Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), and Autism Support Teachers. Services will encompass direct instruction, consultative services, hearing screenings, IEP meeting participation, and interpreting support. The awarded contractor must demonstrate experience in school settings, provide continuing education for staff, and be capable of providing services during Extended School Year programs. Bidders are required to submit a budget including hourly rates for each service, the optimal number of students they can serve, and all administrative costs. Experience with Delaware's Children's Services Cost Recovery (Medicaid) is also required. All contractors must maintain general liability and professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 and provide a Certificate of Insurance. Three business references are required. The contract period will be effective upon Board of Education approval through July 31, 2027, with an option to renew.
