Expansion of Professional Engineering Services Pool

Hidalgo County is seeking to expand its existing Professional Engineering Services Pool. Firms that are currently qualified and active in the pool do not need to resubmit. This expansion is intended to allow other qualified firms to submit their qualifications and participate in the pool, which will remain in effect until March 25, 2029. Qualified firms will be engaged on an "as-needed basis" or on a "project-specific basis" for comprehensive professional engineering services. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, roadway design, bridge design, general design and construction, solid waste management, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects, as well as environmental studies and surveying. Submissions must include a firm history, personnel information, proof of licenses and certifications, and detailed experience in relevant projects. Firms are required to demonstrate competency in federal, state, and county-funded projects within Hidalgo County or the surrounding region. Specific insurance requirements, including professional liability, comprehensive general liability, and automobile liability, must be met.
