Renovation of Building 10 at Central Alabama VAMC

This is a presolicitation notice for the renovation of Building 10 at the Central Alabama Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) East Campus in Tuskegee, Alabama. The project aims to create a secure, safe, reliable, and code-compliant facility to house Community Care and all CAVHCS Call Center operations, supporting additional staff required by the MISSION Act. The Call Center will incorporate sound baffling features to ensure patient privacy and enhance staff support. The estimated construction magnitude for this Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000, with an estimated completion period of 558 days after the Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction), with a small business standard of $45 million. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). Prospective contractors must be certified and listed in the SBA certification database and registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the time of submission. Specific VA clauses regarding set-asides and limitations on subcontracting will apply.
