The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing Shaft Shouldered, National Stock Number (NSN) 3040-01-187-2914. The DLA is considering a fixed-price solicitation for this item. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 27, 2026, and will close on or about May 27, 2026. The required quantity is 35 Each, with a required delivery of 462 days. FOB Origin and inspection/acceptance at destination are required. The approved source is Triumph Gear Systems Inc. (CAGE 82402) with part number 42357-87. Proposals will be evaluated based on "best value" procedures, considering Price, Past Performance, Delivery, and Small Business Participation. The solicitation will be available on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at http://www.dibbs.bsmdla.mil/rfp. This requirement will be solicited in accordance with FAR Part 15, as the item is not considered commercial. NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Methodology requirements are also applicable.
