Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) encourages applications for advanced pre-clinical research focused on translating nanotechnology-based cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. The goal of the TTNCI program is to mature experimental nanomedicines that show significant potential to enhance cancer treatment effectiveness through innovative nanoparticle and nano-device designs, as well as therapeutic or diagnostic cargo delivery. Awards under TTNCI are intended to advance these nanotechnology-based interventions to a stage where they can progress towards NCI's Experimental Therapeutics (NExT) program and other translational initiatives. The opportunity is categorized as discretionary, with funding instruments as grants, and funding categories including education and health. Various applicant types are eligible, including county governments, private and public institutions of higher education, nonprofits, small businesses, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments, among others. The associated Assistance Listing number is 93.395 for Cancer Treatment Research.
