Public Hearing for Infrastructure Projects and Grant Funding

The City of North Sioux City will hold a public hearing on May 4, 2026, to discuss proposed infrastructure projects. These projects include the River Drive Lift Station, the Centennial Drive Lift Station, and the North Shore Bypass Project. Additionally, the hearing will cover a General Investigation study with the Core of Engineers. The City plans to apply for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-DR) from the State of South Dakota Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) for these projects and to fund the South Dakota portion of the local match for the Lower Big Sioux River General Investigation. The application for CDBG-DR funds is expected by June 12, 2026. Public comments on the city's community development needs will also be accepted during the hearing.
