]z--construction of new water well at short canyon loc
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking quotations for construction services to drill a new non-potable livestock water well and properly abandon an existing non-functional well at Short Canyon, located in San Bernardino County, California. The new well is intended to restore a sustainable livestock water supply, meeting state and NRCS technical standards. The existing well, previously capped due to vandalism and disrepair, will be decommissioned in accordance with Kern County Well Abandonment procedures. The project requires obtaining necessary permits, drilling and casing the new well, developing it, disinfecting it, and conducting pump tests and water quality analysis. The contractor must also provide a comprehensive Well Completion Report. The work site is in a rural rangeland area accessible via dirt roads.
