Water Rate Increase Application

Wetzel County Public Service District No. 1 has submitted an application to the West Virginia Public Service Commission seeking an increase in its water rates. The Public Service Commission Staff has reviewed the application and proposed adjustments to metered rates, minimum charges, sale for resale, and coin-operated water dispensers. Interested parties have ten days from the publication date to submit written protests detailing specific reasons for modifying the proposed rates and charges. A hearing may be held if substantial protests are filed; otherwise, the Staff-recommended rates may be approved without a hearing. Public comments can also be submitted online via the Commission's website.
