Atlantic County Correctional Facility Detention Locks Replacement

Atlantic County is soliciting bids for the replacement of detention locks at the Atlantic County Correctional Facility. The project involves the removal of existing door lock material and the installation of new, correctional facility-grade detention locks at select locations within the Main Jail Building. This includes repainting modified doors and frames, and patching adjacent walls, floors, and ceilings as necessary. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The scope of work includes field verification of existing conditions, removal of existing lock sets and hardware, and furnishing and installation of new detention lock sets and associated hardware in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and project specifications. The project requires a bid bond and a consent of surety to be submitted prior to the bid opening. Key milestones include submittal of shop drawings and product data 28 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, substantial completion of Level 1 and Level 1 Tier "Mezzanine" work 64 calendar days after Milestone 2, substantial completion of Level 2 and Level 2 Tier "Mezzanine" work 134 calendar days after Milestone 3, and final completion 21 calendar days after Milestone 4. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day of delay will apply for missed milestones.
