Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District is seeking capability statements for aerial herbicide application services. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only and not a solicitation. The work involves applying herbicides to approximately 6,518 acres of Arkabutla Lake properties to remove unwanted, woody aquatic vegetation such as Water Elm, Button Bush, and Black Willow. The contractor must possess a valid commercial herbicide applicator's license in Mississippi and comply with all safety, application, equipment, and licensing requirements. Specific herbicides like Roundup Custom and 4 Pound Arsenal will be used, with potential for approved generic equivalents. The application period is between June 1 and September 15, 2026, with work performed Monday through Saturday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays. The prime contractor must perform at least 50% of the work with their own employees.
